Job Description
Location: Brisbane, Australia.
Salary: AUD 108,571 - 119,893 Annual Gross.
Flexible working arrangements (hybrid, reviewed case by case).
Roles and Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium) to ensure efficient and reliable regression coverage.
- Build and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases across functional, regression, integration, and end to end scenarios.
- Implement and monitor test automation in CI/CD pipelines to maintain fast feedback loops.
- Identify, document, and clearly communicate defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), ensuring timely resolution.
- Partner with product managers, business analysts, and developers to refine requirements and ensure testability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and frameworks to enhance product quality.
- Contribute to a quality first mindset in an agile, cross functional team.
- At least 5+ years proven experience as a QA Engineer, SDET or similar role in agile software development.
- Hands on experience with automated testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, Mocha or similar).
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies (functional, regression, smoke, end to end, performance).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail; must have strong SQL skill and be able to test for data quality and troubleshoot data issues.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate findings and work effectively across teams.
- Knowledge of API testing (e.g., Postman, REST Assured, Pact) and test data management is a plus.
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure services (including IAM) and related logging and monitoring services such as CloudWatch, X Ray, CloudTrail.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and fast paced environments.
- Understanding of serverless and microservices based application architectures is well regarded.
- Understanding of data modelling for both applications and analytics is well regarded.
- Familiarity with New Relic or other observability tools and open telemetry is well regarded.
- At least 5+ years proven experience as a QA Engineer, SDET or similar role in agile software development.
