QA Automation Lead

Introduction

International Solutions Group (ISG) is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to oversee and drive testing efforts across critical financial platforms. The role involves ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of high-availability banking applications, with a focus on Fedwire payment processing and Securities trading systems.

Responsibilities

• Test Execution & Maintenance: Execute and maintain functional test suites using existing automation framework.
• Framework Optimization: Update, modify, and optimize existing test automation scripts.
• End-to-End Integration Testing: Perform manual and automated integration testing across multiple connected downstream financial systems.
• Test Lifecycle Management: Conduct daily smoke testing, regression testing, and environmental readiness checks.
• Triage & Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and fix broken test scripts, test data dependencies, or environmental configuration issues.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Partner with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to track defects and ensure seamless software updates.

Requirements

• Automation Leadership: 7+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with at least 2+ years leading automation efforts.
• Core Java Expertise: Strong experience writing and maintaining Java-based automation code.
• UI Testing Tools: Proficiency with Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• API Testing: Expertise in testing REST APIs and verifying JSON/XML payloads.
• Financial Domain Knowledge: Understanding of capital markets or payment processing, experience testing Fedwire message types or Securities trading workflows.
• Testing Methodologies: Experience in functional testing, regression suites, smoke testing, and environment validation.
• Tools & Pipelines: Familiarity with CI/CD tools, version control, and test management tools.
