The Role

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize specialized equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for efficient container stacking and movement.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs on railcars.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including potential night shifts.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
