z/OS System Programmer (HCD/IOCDS)

Responsibilities

• Perform hardware configuration activities using HCD, IODF, IOCDS, and IOCP (IOGEN).
• Plan, implement, and support IBM Z hardware migrations, upgrades, and production cutovers.
• Configure and maintain I/O definitions, processor configurations, and hardware resources.
• Support enterprise IBM Z environments with multiple CPCs, LPARs, and Parallel Sysplex configurations.
• Administer and maintain IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC).
• Troubleshoot hardware, I/O, and z/OS infrastructure issues in production environments.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams during hardware refresh and implementation projects.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of IBM z/OS Systems Programming experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with HCD, IODF, IOCDS, and IOCP (IOGEN).
• Experience with IBM Z15 and Z16 hardware platforms and migrations.
• Strong knowledge of LPARs, CPCs, Parallel Sysplex, and enterprise mainframe environments.
• Experience with IBM HMC administration.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
