Program Manager with ecommerce, retail, payments- LARGE COMPLEX programs

Role / Project

This person will likely support large, complex e-commerce programs involving enhancements to the company’s digital/customer experience. Projects can start on the website/front end but connect to multiple downstream/back-end systems, so there are many teams and moving pieces involved. Payment-related initiatives are a significant part of the current backlog. 

Most important things to look for

• Strong e-commerce experience — retail experience is preferred because understanding the retail business will help.
• Payments experience is a big plus, especially payment-related e-commerce projects.
• Large, complex program experience — they want someone who has managed multiple workstreams and brought different teams together. This is more than managing an isolated project; they need someone who can see the big picture but dive into details when necessary. 
• Strong stakeholder management — they’ll work across designers, business partners, engineering/back-end teams, and other groups involved from the customer placing an order through fulfillment. 
• Standard PM tools/skills are expected.
• AI experience is a nice bonus. The company is starting to focus on learning and applying AI tools, so someone who already has exposure would bring extra value. 

The environment changes frequently: timelines change, requirements change, and they need someone flexible who doesn’t get rattled and can keep the team moving through the changes with a positive attitude.
