Remote Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC)

Remote (UK Based)
Up to £30.00 per hour PAYE

We are currently recruiting experienced Accredited Clinical Coders to support NHS organisations with high-quality clinical coding services. This is an excellent opportunity to work from home while contributing to the delivery of vital healthcare services.

The Role

As an Accredited Clinical Coder, you will be responsible for accurately translating clinical information into ICD-10 and OPCS-4 codes, ensuring coding quality, compliance and national standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately code inpatient episodes using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications.
  • Review complex clinical records to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes.
  • Ensure coding is completed within agreed productivity and quality targets.
  • Liaise with clinicians where clarification is required.
  • Maintain compliance with NHS Clinical Coding Standards.
  • Support data quality and audit requirements.
Essential Requirements
  • ACC (Accredited Clinical Coder) qualification.
  • Previous NHS Clinical Coding experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
  • Multi-specialty coding experience.
  • Experience working on backlog projects.
  • Audit or quality assurance experience.
  • Knowledge of current NHS Digital coding standards.
