About the Role

A large financial services organization is enabling Vertex AI and Gemini model endpoints, and needs an IAM engineer to build the access-governance layer underneath it. Your job is to make sure AI consumption stays locked down, auditable, and aligned to enterprise security standards - you'll be the person defining who gets to touch what, and how.

Must-Haves

Terraform, at depth

• Reusable IAM module authoring

• Remote state and backend management

• google and google-beta provider fluency

• Workspace and multi-environment strategy

Python automation

• API orchestration and integration

• IAM policy manipulation and validation in code

• Google Cloud Client Libraries

IAM on Google Cloud Platform

• Google Cloud Platform resource hierarchy

• Vertex AI IAM policy design

• Hands-on Google Cloud IAM

Security, Compliance & Perimeter

• Cloud KMS for key management; Secret Manager for secrets

• VPC Service Controls and security perimeter design

• Zero-trust architecture principles

• SOC 2, ISO 27001, and/or PCI-DSS familiarity

• Data-classification and sensitivity-driven access controls

• Compliance experience inside regulated financial enterprises

• Shared VPC and Private Google Access where they intersect IAM

• Private Service Connect / PrivateLink patterns

• Cloud Armor, firewall rules, and Cloud Load Balancing in an access-control context

Bonus Points

• GKE Workload Identity; service mesh auth (Istio / Anthos Service Mesh)
