PeopleSoft/COTS Developer

Location: Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (Hybrid)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Developer responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining application solutions. This role involves a mix of production support, system enhancements, and new development initiatives within a large enterprise IT environment. The position offers an opportunity for conversion to a full-time role in the future.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide production support for approximately 30 applications, including troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation, and incident management.
• Perform business rule modifications, system enhancements, and API-related work.
• Participate in new development initiatives, creating solutions from technical specifications.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using approved languages and tools.
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure code quality and perform testing of software modifications.
• Participate in code reviews and broader technical reviews to detect defects.
• Document all code changes and maintain code repositories according to version management standards.
• Participate in a quarterly on-call support rotation after becoming fully established in the role.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.

Experience: A wide range of experience levels will be considered, from recent IT graduates with relevant project experience to senior developers. Candidates must have experience with SQL Server, including writing and troubleshooting queries and working with application data.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft is required.
• Foundational understanding of Windows Server environments, APIs, integrations, and networking concepts.
• Proficiency with SQL Server for querying and data logic.
• Familiarity with .NET technologies.
• Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a large, complex enterprise IT environment.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft modules including Financials (eProcurement, Accounts Payable, General Ledger) and HRMS (HR, Payroll, Benefits).
• Experience with web services (REST, SOAP) and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position with a structured onboarding schedule. New hires will be expected to work onsite two days per week (Mondays and Wednesdays). Once established, team members typically work onsite one day per week.
