Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Workday Extend Developer with strong expertise in Workday Security Frameworks to design, develop, and support custom Workday applications and security solutions. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of overall IT experience, including extensive hands-on experience with Workday Extend, Workday Studio, integrations, and security administration. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to deliver scalable and secure Workday solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend.
  • Configure and maintain Workday Security Frameworks, including domain security policies, business process security policies, security groups, and role-based access controls.
  • Develop and support Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Web Services (SOAP/REST APIs).
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the Workday ecosystem.
  • Create custom reports, calculated fields, and dashboards to support business needs.
  • Perform security audits, access reviews, and compliance assessments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Workday application, integration, and security-related issues.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, Payroll, and cross-functional teams to optimize Workday processes.
  • Participate in Workday releases, enhancements, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Develop technical documentation, design specifications, and support materials.
  • Ensure adherence to Workday best practices, governance, and security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4+ years of Workday technical experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Workday Extend Development.
  • Extensive knowledge of Workday Security Frameworks:
    • Domain Security Policies
    • Business Process Security Policies
    • Security Groups
    • Segregation of Duties (SoD)
    • Role-Based Security
    • User-Based Security
  • Experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday APIs.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, or Financials modules.
  • Experience in developing custom reports and calculated fields.
  • Knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, REST, SOAP, and web services.
  • Experience with Workday release management and testing.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Workday Extend Certification (preferred).
  • Workday Security Certification (preferred).
  • Experience with Workday Prism Analytics is a plus.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and audit requirements.
