Are you an experienced aviation professional with a strong understanding of continuing airworthiness and regulatory compliance? We are seeking a CAMO Engineer to join a leading aerospace organisation in Oxford, supporting the ongoing airworthiness, maintenance planning and technical record management of aircraft operations.This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative and highly skilled Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), where you will play a vital role in ensuring aircraft remain safe, compliant and operationally ready.The OpportunityAs a CAMO Engineer, you will be responsible for the management and production of maintenance programmes, reviewing airworthiness documentation, supporting maintenance and materials planning activities, and maintaining accurate technical records.Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will contribute to the efficient management of aircraft airworthiness while supporting continuous improvement across CAMO processes and procedures.Key Responsibilities
- Follow company procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Review technical information from regulatory authorities andOEMs, including:
- Airworthiness Directives
- Service Bulletins
- Major and Minor Modifications
- Repairs
- Review, develop and implement Aircraft Maintenance Programmes and associated aircraft configurations.
- Support Airworthiness Reviews and ARC Extensions.
- Complete repetitive defect and reliability analysis.
- Review and update aircraft flight manuals.
- Review technical logs and enter utilisation data into management systems.
- Support both Line and Base Maintenance planning activities.
- Prepare and review maintenance variations.
- Plan materials requirements and raise reservations or purchase requisitions.
- Update aircraft and engine records with maintenance task accomplishment details.
- Process component log cards and support core return activities.
- Provide cross-functional support across the CAMO team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of CAMO processes and procedures.
- Support additional activities as directed by the Continuing Airworthiness Manager.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Good understanding of aircraft continuing airworthiness requirements relating to Part-CAMO regulations.
- Experience within the aircraft or wider aviation industry.
- Methodical approach with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible and focused on delivering to agreed timelines.
- Strong teamworking and leadership capabilities.
- Proactive approach with the ability to identify and resolve potential issues before they impact operations.
- High level of computer literacy and confidence working with digital systems and documentation tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge of continuing airworthiness management software.
- Familiarity with Airbus Helicopters products and technical documentation.
- Aviation-related degree or equivalent qualification.
- Recognised Part-CAMO training.
- Recognised Part-145 training.
- Aviation Human Factors training.
Qualifications
- Experience is considered more important than formal qualifications.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent qualifications such as NVQ or BTEC) is desirable.
Security RequirementsSuccessful candidates will be required to:
- Pass a DBS check.
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain Security Clearance (SC).
- Be a UK National.
- Meet applicable Export Compliance requirements.
Working Pattern
- Monday to Friday
- 08:30 - 17:00
- 37.5 hours per week
- Fully on-site in Oxford
- No travel required
Contract Details
- 12-month contract
- Strong likelihood of extension
- Inside IR35
