The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks meticulously and safely.
• Position and relocate containers within the intermodal yard using hostlers.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics operations and tasks.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to established procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs on railcars and equipment.
