ole: Production Support / Application Support Engineer

Interested candidate will explore unique set of opportunities that enriches domain, technical and process expertise. The suitable candidate shall support one of the Banks critical Treasury portfolios . This role also empowers monitoring knowledge advancements leveraging tools like Dynatrace Splunk. It also provides a learning-edge to support applications hosted in multiple shared platforms like Hadoop, Cloud and Grids etc. Expected to use AI for day-to-day work, Importantly, it helps to sharpen the process knowledge across Incidents, Problem, Application Resiliency and many more services offered by the APS teams.

Responsibilities

Respond to and resolve business queries for ERFT space.

Communicates with line of business and management the overall status and health of the application

Looks for areas of improvement in monitoring, application stability, and speed of determining root cause.

Work closely with Technology Infrastructure Teams, Development Teams in supporting Integrated / Independent releases, software/hardware upgrades, server upgrades etc

Manage user query mailbox effectively, understand the scope of teams work and ensure timely and appropriate response is provided for all user queries.

Respond to and resolve feed and batch support items, Manage alerts and monitoring.

Utilize important framework tools such as ITSM, ITRS, JIRA, DynaTrace and Splunk, etc. for both making updates and producing reports.

Incident management - provide timely and accurate user notifications as well as managing escalations when needed.

Documentation and knowledge management.

Follow up and coordinate resolutions with various development teams.

Assist with metrics reporting.

Coordinate and perform Business Continuity testing and related paperwork

Organize and run meetings independently for issue resolution.

Identify scope for automation to reduce manual, repeating tasks.

Required Skills:

1. 5+ years of Production Support experience.

2. Strong SQL Knowledge.

3. Strong UNIX / LINUX knowledge.

4. Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.

5. Working knowledge of ITIL.

6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

7. Excellent project and time management skills.

8. Ability to work in a multi-regional team.

9. Working knowledge of ITRS, DynaTrace and Splunk

10. Working knowledge of Autosys and Bob jobs.

11. Python Scripting knowledge.

1. Financial industry experience

2. Knowledge of Treasury, Liquidity business

3. Agile methodology

4. Operations exposure with Windows OS

5. Working knowledge with Tableau

• Hands on experience with Unix, Quartz, Grid, Cloud, Containers

. Strong knowledge of AI tool.

• Hands on experience with Database (Oracle Teradata)

• Hands on experience in Hadoop

• Experience in Job scheduling tool - Autosys, Bob

• Knowledge on monitoring tools - Splunk and Dynatrace

• Knowledge on ITIL concepts - Incident and Problem Management

• Knowledge on Incident Management (ITSM Remedy, MyITSM)

• Willing to be flexible sometimes with providing stand-by out of hours support on rotational basis for production system (as needed)

• Good understanding of financial/banking industry

• Creative and strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical partners.

• Ability to operate in high-pressure situations

• Results oriented, and must be able to effectively interact with Senior Management and Business Partners

• Must be willing and able to express new ideas, concerns, and opinions directly to wider team in team meetings face-to-face and via remote-working tools.
