Location: Remote - Mountain Time Zone
Job Type: Contract (12 Months)
Compensation: $18-21 per hour W2

About the Role
Our client, a leading organization in the renewable energy industry, is seeking a Service Desk Representative to join their internal technology support team. This role supports corporate employees by resolving a wide range of technical issues that impact day-to-day business operations. Unlike traditional help desks that primarily route tickets, this team is focused on hands-on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving technical problems, delivering excellent customer service, and expanding their technical expertise. Training of up to two weeks will be provided.

Job Description
The Service Desk Representative serves as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical support for hardware, software, systems, and connectivity-related issues. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and the ability to independently analyze and resolve technical problems while collaborating with internal technology teams when needed.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to employees through phone, email, chat, and remote support channels.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, application, and connectivity issues.
  • Utilize technical knowledge, support tools, historical records, and internal documentation to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Perform issue analysis, troubleshooting, and data collection, escalating complex issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.
  • Fulfill service requests in accordance with established procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and escalations.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees across various departments and technical skill levels.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to resolve issues and improve the overall employee technology experience.
  • Follow organizational security policies and best practices to safeguard systems, data, and user access.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies, industry trends, and support best practices.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Prior experience providing technical support and troubleshooting end-user technology issues.
  • CompTIA certification or equivalent technical certification.
  • Experience working with Google Workspace in a corporate environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies and problem-solving techniques.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems and native Windows applications.
  • Experience troubleshooting iOS devices and mobile applications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), and networking concepts including DNS and DHCP.
  • Experience supporting conferencing technologies, audio/video equipment, and VoIP solutions.
  • Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer workstation.
  • Ability to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, and standard office equipment throughout the workday.
  • Sufficient visual and hearing ability to perform job duties, review information accurately, and communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CompTIA certification or equivalent technical certification.
  • Experience working with Google Workspace in a corporate environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of ChromeOS and macOS.
  • Experience providing remote technical support through phone, chat, and remote access tools.
  • Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies and authentication solutions.
  • Experience supporting cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools.
