The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (e.g., hostlers, cranes) to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Stack, move, and organize containers using equipment like top loaders and side loaders.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Communicate effectively with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and movements.
• Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
