Provisioning Engineer - Ciena 6500

I am recruiting for a Provisioning Engineer to work on a hybrid basis - 2 days in London, 3 days remote.

The role falls inside IR35 so you will be required to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.

Ciena 6500 experience is essential.

You must have extensive experience in optical transmission systems, with a strong focus on Ciena 6500.

You will have a deep technical understanding of DWDM, ROADM, Flexgrid and photonic layer technologies.

An understanding & experience of IP L2/L3 operator protocols is essential. It is advantageous to have knowledge and/or experience of BGP/MPLS.

You must have the proven ability to interpret and apply complex technical data and procedures.

Hands-on experience with optical test equipment and performance monitoring tools is also essential.
