Full Stack Developer

 Role: Full Stack Developer

Location: Remote

Contract Role: 12+ months

 

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate closely with clients, digital leaders, solution architects, and technical and functional leads across Guidehouse digital teams and market segments to support client engagements, growth initiatives, and capability development.
• Serve as a key member of the modernisation team, helping address technical challenges, deliver demonstrations, and build innovative solution prototypes using cloud architectures and modern software technologies.
• Provide hands-on full-stack engineering for scalable, secure, distributed systems using modern programming languages, cloud-native and microservices architectures, containerization, and API-first design patterns.
• Work collaboratively with user experience designers, platform engineers, product owners, solution architects, and business analysts to design, build, test, and deploy high-value, operationally resilient software products on AWS that meet functional and non-functional requirements.

What You Will Need:

• U.S. citizenship or status is required, along with the ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
• Minimum of four (6) years of relevant experience in full-stack application development.
• Bachelor’s degree required, or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing cloud applications to build and modernise applications and datasets on AWS.
• Experience implementing frontend and backend services for cloud-native software products and solutions using technologies such as Python, JavaScript, Django, and Vue.js.
• Required technical skills include proficiency in Python and JavaScript.
• Django experience is preferred; equivalent experience with Flask, Fast API, Falcon, or SQL Alchemy may be considered.
• Vue.js experience is preferred; equivalent experience with React, Svelte, or Angular version 1.6 or higher may be considered.
• Proven ability to work independently while collaborating with, mentoring, and supporting team members to solve complex technical problems.
• Proven ability to develop software products and solution prototypes, using prototypes to validate technical strategies and clearly communicate the trade-offs of complex design alternatives.
• In-depth understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile practices and principles, with proven experience planning and implementing software products with agility.

 

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• AWS Certified Developer certification.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Experience with Flask, Docker, Amazon EKS/Kubernetes, AWS Step Functions, Amazon Event Bridge, AWS Lambda, Amazon API Gateway, Elasticsearch, caching frameworks, Redis, Memcached, Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS) for PostgreSQL, and/or MongoDB NoSQL database services.
• Familiarity with the AWS Serverless Application Model (AWS SAM), proven design patterns such as Model-View-Controller, and the ability to design and build cloud-based software products aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Proficiency in delivering cloud-based software products using modern CI/CD pipeline tooling, with the ability to collaborate continuously with development, operations, and security teams to deliver secure and operationally resilient software products and solutions.
• Hands-on cloud software development or engineering experience, with the ability to consistently build and deploy custom applications in the AWS cloud.
• Proven ability to design, build, test, and deploy software products and solutions on the AWS cloud platform.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand customer requirements and engineer effective solutions.
