Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Center Consulting professional to support a client’s growth strategy within the data center industry. The ideal candidate will bring deep data center industry knowledge, strong communication skills, and established relationships across the data center ecosystem.

This consultant will partner with a Business Strategy lead to shape the client’s go-to-market strategy for the data center market. The role will serve as an industry subject-matter expert, facilitate introductions to key stakeholders, and support strategic engagement with target accounts and ecosystem partners.

Candidates with liquid cooling expertise, particularly around valves and thermal-management solutions, are highly preferred. Experience working with data center customers, mechanical/power engineers, CPU manufacturers, and related industry stakeholders is a strong plus.

Travel Requirements

This is a remote role requiring up to 75% travel. Travel may include data center conferences, customer meetings, executive meetings, and industry workshops.

Project Goal

Support the client in accelerating its position in the data center industry by translating its product portfolio into a coordinated go-to-market strategy, targeted ecosystem engagement model, and practical account-execution engine.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Support the data center go-to-market strategy across client business units.
  • Map the client portfolio to the full data center thermal-management value chain.
  • Define priority market segments, target accounts, and account plays.
  • Build an executive-level roadmap for long-term data center growth.
  • Assess product-market fit and identify growth opportunities across multiple brands.

Operational

  • Facilitate targeted introductions to data center stakeholders and ecosystem partners.
  • Lead data center ecosystem workshops for client teams.
  • Create target-account maps and stakeholder influence models.
  • Support market-facing engagement at industry events, customer meetings, and executive sessions.
  • Develop repeatable sales-enablement materials and account-pursuit tools.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Deep knowledge of the data center industry and its ecosystem.
  • Strong experience building and shaping market-growth strategies.
  • Experience developing actionable relationship maps, stakeholder influence models, and engagement priorities.
  • Strong analytical ability to assess product-market fit and market opportunity.
  • Excellent project management, meeting facilitation, and workshop leadership skills.
  • Exceptional executive-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work directly with senior leadership and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data center cooling or liquid cooling technologies.
  • Knowledge of valves, thermal-management systems, and related infrastructure solutions.
  • Established industry relationships with data center operators, mechanical/power engineers, OEMs, CPU manufacturers, and key ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting multi-brand go-to-market strategies.
