Job Summary

The SAP ESL Project Manager will lead the  ESL SAP implementation as part of a larger SAP transformation program. This role is responsible for delivering manufacturing and warehouse solutions across SAP S/4HANA PP-PI, QM, Inventory Management, EWM, warehouse automation, logistics integrations, testing, deployment, and operational readiness activities.

The Project Manager will partner with IT, Manufacturing, Warehouse Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, business stakeholders, and system integrators to ensure successful project delivery on time, within scope, and within budget while supporting a 24/7 operation with no unplanned downtime..

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·                  Lead planning, execution, and delivery of the  SAP ESL implementation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

·                  Manage project plans, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, vendor performance, and stakeholder communications.

·                  Lead Fit-to-Standard and Fit/Gap activities for manufacturing and warehouse processes.

·                  Coordinate delivery of SAP solutions across Production Planning (PP/PP-PI), Quality Management (QM), Inventory Management, and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).

·                  Partner with manufacturing, warehouse, quality, and business teams to validate requirements and align solution designs with operational needs.

·                  Oversee warehouse operations capabilities, including inventory management, receiving, put-away, picking, replenishment, shipping, and warehouse execution.

·                  Coordinate inbound and outbound warehouse process implementation, including automation, labeling, receiving, picking, staging, and delivery execution.

·                  Support inventory control, traceability, cycle counting, recall readiness, quality processes, and warehouse exception management.

·                  Manage facility-specific warehouse initiatives, including storage trailers, offsite warehousing, capacity constraints, and warehouse transition activities.

·                  Coordinate integrations with warehouse automation systems, ASRS, conveyors, RF devices, transportation systems, yard logistics, and related technologies.

·                  Lead integration testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), operational readiness assessments, cutover planning, deployment, go-live support, stabilization, and hypercare.

·                  Develop and monitor warehouse and operational performance metrics and reporting.

·                  Provide project governance updates, status reporting, and recommendations to PMO leadership and stakeholders.

·                  Coach and support project teams in the use of project management tools and Lean-Agile practices.

·                  Identify process improvement opportunities and support organizational change management and user adoption efforts.

·                  Travel as needed to support project activities, vendor meetings, training, testing, and implementation events.

·                  Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Required

·                  Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·                  8+ years of project management experience.

·                  5+ years managing full-cycle SAP implementation projects, preferably in manufacturing environments.

·                  Working knowledge of SAP PP, PP-PI, QM, Inventory Management, and EWM, including integration across manufacturing, quality, warehouse, and logistics processes.

·                  Proven ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.

·                  Experience with project management platforms such as Wrike, Jira, or Asana, preferably as an administrator or power user.

·                  Familiarity with AI-enabled business tools such as SAP Joule.

·                  Experience with SAP Activate or similar implementation methodologies.

·                  Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred

·                  MBA or other advanced business degree.

·                  Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer packaged goods (CPG)/food & beverage industries.

·                  Experience with process manufacturing environments, including recipe management, batch traceability, quality controls, shelf-life management, and multi-site SAP deployments.

Skills and Competencies

·                  Strong project management, leadership, and business analysis skills.

·                  Ability to translate manufacturing and operational requirements into SAP solutions.

·                  Experience facilitating workshops with business and technical teams.

·                  Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.

·                  Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

·                  Positive, solution-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

·                  Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

·                  Comfortable working with cross-functional teams, vendors, and evolving business needs.

·                  Strong listening, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
