Our client is seeking a Product Manager - Digital Financial Operations to join their team. The Digital Financial Operations team partners with multiple product groups to manage complex transaction streams across both digital and physical touchpoints. Our core focus is to ensure the precise, accurate accounting of all funds and store payments throughout the entire enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the Product Lifecycle: Lead end-to-end product development for assigned features, partnering closely with software engineering to release functionality on schedule and with high quality.
- Balance Strategic & Tactical Priorities: Own and prioritize the product backlog, carefully weighing incoming, immediate stakeholder requests against the long-term product vision.
- Optimize Digital Channels & Processes: Develop a deep understanding of digital channel functionality to identify actionable opportunities that improve workflows and minimize processing costs.
- Architect Scalable Integrations: Propose data-backed system enhancements within complex, multilayered environments, growing into a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to drive future scale.
- Manage Agile Artifacts: Draft and manage well-defined Jira stories with clear acceptance criteria for Development and QA teams and maintain comprehensive feature documentation in Confluence.
- Define & Track Success: Establish robust, audience-specific metrics and KPIs to ensure initiatives consistently deliver measurable value to teams and leadership.
- Global Collaboration: Work with distributed technical and product teams across multiple regions and time zones to keep development tasks moving forward.
- Liaison for Technical & Business Needs: Translate complex financial system capabilities into shared organizational priorities, fostering alignment across cross-functional peers with varying levels of technical familiarity.
Experience:
- 3+ Years
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
- Proven ability to establish and drive a strong Point of View (POV) supported by solid, data-backed facts.
- Adept at managing and prioritizing multiple simultaneous requests across various teams based on time sensitivities.
- Hands-on experience successfully operating as an Agile Product Owner.
- Strong overarching leadership capabilities paired with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong capabilities in product road mapping and overarching project prioritization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel
- Nice-to-Have Qualifications (Desired but Not Required):
- Familiarity with modern data visualization and monitoring platforms, such as Power BI, New Relic, and Tableau – Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) is a plus.
- Familiarity with state-level regulations, taxes, and general compliance standards is a plus.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree/4 yr degree
- Preferred Industry Experience
- Strong preference for candidates with accounting knowledge in the retail and e-commerce domain
Salary/Rate: $40-$50/HR (depends on experience level). This is a contract position with candidates expected to work 40 hours/ week.
