Job Description

Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)
Job Summary
  • Seeking a Cloud Engineer with strong Python development experience and expertise in cloud-based application development, API integration, and secrets management solutions.
  • This role is a hybrid position focused primarily on backend development (approximately 80%) with some frontend development responsibilities (approximately 20%).
  • The ideal candidate will have experience building scalable applications, integrating with HashiCorp Vault, and working across cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement large-scale applications across front-end and back-end systems.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful web services and APIs.
  • Build and support Python-based applications using FastAPI.
  • Integrate applications with HashiCorp Vault and other secrets management solutions.
  • Work with cloud-native technologies and infrastructure services.
  • Participate throughout the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Perform occasional UI modifications and frontend enhancements.
  • Collaborate with development teams using Git and GitHub version control practices.
  • Support deployments and development activities across Windows and Linux environments.
Required Skills
  • HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Azure Key Vault experience.
  • 7 years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications.
  • 5+ years of Python development experience.
  • Proficiency with FastAPI.
  • 5+ years of experience developing RESTful web services.
  • Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault APIs.
  • High-level understanding of Vault authentication methods and secrets engines.
  • Experience integrating applications with Vault and working with secrets management solutions.
  • Angular.
  • GitHub.
  • Java.
  • JavaScript.
Preferred Skills
  • 5+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design techniques and principles.
  • 3+ years of experience with Terraform and Vault.
  • 3+ years of professional design and open-source experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Git and GitHub.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems, including shell scripting.
  • Proficiency with PostgreSQL, Object/Relational Mapping (ORM), and query performance tuning.
  • Experience with Azure cloud platform services.
Qualifications
  • Strong full-stack engineering background with emphasis on backend development.
  • Experience developing enterprise-scale applications and APIs.
  • Ability to work in hybrid cloud and distributed application environments.
  • Strong understanding of application security and secrets management practices.
