Job Description


We are seeking a Lead Agilist I to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Scrum, Agile coaching, and team facilitation and a proven ability to build high-performing Agile teams and deliver business value through effective Scrum practices.


Responsibilities:



  • Support one or more Agile Squads and ensure effective application of Agile and Scrum values and principles.

  • Facilitate Scrum events and ensure value realization, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement.

  • Coach Product Owners and Development Teams on Product Backlog management, shared understanding, and definition of success.

  • Promote self-organization, continuous improvement, cross-functionality, and software craftsmanship within the Squad(s).

  • Identify and remove impediments using multiple approaches; escalate when necessary to appropriate entities.

  • Foster a trusting, safe environment for collaborative problem solving and open communication.

  • Craft clear messages and use powerful questions to drive creative problem identification and resolution.

  • Leverage feedback loops, metrics, and information radiators to guide inspect-and-adapt practices.

  • Collaborate with the Agile Center and stakeholders to improve effectiveness across all Squad roles.

  • Shield the Squad from external interference and non-prioritized requests to maintain focus and productivity.


Required Skills & Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of full-time business experience.

  • 3+ years of Scrum experience with strong understanding of the Scrum Framework and agility principles.

  • Experience presenting, teaching, mentoring, and facilitating at multiple organizational levels.

  • Ability to identify, communicate, and remove impediments within and outside the team.

  • Coaching skills with the ability to communicate complex messages and teach new concepts.

  • Conflict mediation skills to resolve interpersonal and organizational issues.

  • Collaborative mindset that values team success, continuous learning, and improvement.

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle disciplines, including PM, requirements, analysis and design, QA/testing, deployment, and change management.

  • Working knowledge of practices that support agility such as CI/CD, TDD, and automated testing.

  • Familiarity with other Agile frameworks and practices, including Kanban, Scrumban, XP, and Mob Programming.

  • Ability to set and align priorities and goals for teams in an Agile business environment.

  • Servant leadership approach with role-model behavior that supports Agile mindset shifts.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.


Preferred Skills:



  • Knowledge of DevOps, pipeline automation, and modern testing frameworks.

  • Experience facilitating neutral discussions that enable teams to decide the best course of action.
