The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment, including hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders, to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring efficient yard operations. • Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to guarantee safety and functionality. • Coordinate container movements and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe and organized work environment by adhering to established protocols. • Handle containers accurately to ensure timely freight movement within the intermodal yard. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to operate heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Commitment to safety protocols and a keen attention to detail. • Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, with open availability required. • Basic communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
