Job Title: Engineering Manager - DV
Location: Burghfield, Reading (3 days/week on site)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Daily Rate: £63.57/hr (Umbrella)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Security Clearance: DV clearance

Essential:

• Proven experience leading engineering delivery within complex, highly regulated or safety-critical environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering governance, technical assurance and design management principles.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external engineering suppliers.
• Knowledge of engineering lifecycle management, configuration control and change control processes.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and provide technical leadership across multiple disciplines.
• Experience balancing safety, quality, cost and schedule considerations in engineering decision-making.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience of working on large construction projects in a nuclear / highly regulated environment
• Candidate should ideally have electrical / C+I background.
• Should have some commercial knowledge to ensure suppliers are being held to account on deliverables
• Some technical knowledge to interpret drawings.

Desirable:

• Background in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) engineering or management of EC&I-focused delivery programmes.
• Experience within Safety or Assurance focused role
• Experience working within nuclear, defence, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, power generation or other highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with safety case development, regulatory interfaces and compliance management.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional registration
