Job Description

Systems Engineer/Architect | Manassas, VA, United States | Hybrid We're hiring on behalf of a professional services firm that partners with prime contractors, delivering critical support across engineering, software development, and system integration. This organization plays a vital role in supporting national defense initiatives, offering a challenging and rewarding environment for technical professionals. The Role • Support cross-discipline product and project teams in identifying, evaluating, and establishing technical solutions. • Engage in AGILE process-based development, including architecture and engineering spikes. • Perform system modeling using industry-standard tools. • Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation, including requirements, design, and interface documents. • Interpret and translate customer requirements into software and hardware designs. • Prepare for and conduct milestone reviews, including Intermediate and Final Design Reviews. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline, with 5 years of experience (or Master's degree with 3 years of experience). • Experience as a systems engineer/architect, particularly with products or solutions containing custom software. • Prior experience performing trade studies and technology selections. • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering processes and best practices. • Experience with undersea systems development programs is desired. • Familiarity with Agile teams and tools like JIRA, Gitlab, Redmine, and Confluence is a plus.
