Snowflake Data Engineer

LOCATION : Remote ok
DURATION : 12 months

REQUIRED SKILLS

7+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or related fields
5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowflake SQL, Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Warehouses, RBAC, Clustering, and Performance Optimization
Strong expertise in SQL, modern ETL/ELT frameworks, and data pipeline development
Experience in building and maintaining enterprise Data Lakes and/or Data Warehouses
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Proficiency in Python for data engineering
Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory and/or Airflow
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing principles, and distributed data systems
Proven ability to work independently, owning end-to-end solutions from requirement to deployment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work across technical and business teams
Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking
Ability to translate ambiguous or evolving requirements into structured technical solutions
Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor junior engineers
Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and quality

Preferred Qualifications:

SnowPro certification(s) a plus
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workloads
Knowledge of Delta Lake, Databricks, Spark, or other big data processing frameworks
Background in enterprise data platforms with high volumes and strict SLAs
Experience implementing data governance, metadata management, and quality frameworks
