What You'll be doing:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused leader to take ownership of the Group's end-to-end Capital function. This role will lead capital strategy, planning, governance and delivery across all 36 sites in the UK. The role will ensure CAPEX investments drive sustainable financial, operational, safety and environmental performance.
You will lead the development of a rolling 3-5 year Capital Strategy and translate this into annual CAPEX plans and ensure effective project execution through working with your direct team and across the wider group.
Working closely with Operations, Finance, Automation, Technology and Procurement teams, you will:
Drive robust CAPEX governance, reporting and investment decision-making
Lead continuous improvement on project standards and process
Oversee major, high-risk, brownfield and greenfield investments
Ensure successful project delivery, operational handover and post-investment reviews
Support sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives across the Group
What We're Looking For
Degree or postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Sustainability, Energy, Environmental Management or similar
Professional membership (IET, IMechE, Energy Institute or equivalent)
Strong experience leading complex capital programmes within FMCG or manufacturing environments
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of project governance, CAPEX management and operational best practice
Knowledge of food manufacturing legislation, factory design and compliance
Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
Flexible and adaptable approach within a fast-paced environment
