Job Description (JD)

Primary Owner for Logistics (WMS/OTM) within the Application Support team. Resource needs to act as the functional lead for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), custom programs, and warehouse IT infrastructure. His role is critical in ensuring the seamless flow of logistics operations, from order picking and label printing to shipment tracking and warehouse receipts.
Key Responsibilities 1. Functional Leadership & Support

  • Primary Support Owner: Acts as the lead for the Applications - Logistics assigned group, handling complex incidents and requests related to WMS and OTM.
  • Warehouse IT Lead: Manages and troubleshoots warehouse-specific IT issues, including printer configurations (e.g., AAOBKP13, USMSSP04) and label scanning processes.
  • Custom Programs & Reporting: Serves as the lead for developing and maintaining custom programs and reports that support logistics workflows.

2. Incident Management & Resolution

  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Investigates systemic issues such as duplicate tracking numbers, misrouted deliveries, and integration failures between Oracle and warehouse systems.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Resolves high-priority issues including:
    • Oracle-to-Printer label printing failures.
    • Back-order processing and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) closures.
    • Pick-release and partial line open issues.
  • SOP Compliance: Ensures all incident documentation meets high hygiene standards (Summary Clarity, Business Impact, and Resolution Steps).

3. Project & Integration Support

  • Oracle Integration: Collaborates with the EDI and Oracle Development teams on end-to-end flows (PO ASN Receipt Invoice).
  • WMS/Custom Programs: Leads the technical delivery of custom warehouse programs and monitoring tools for in-transit shipments.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Works closely with Logistics Specialists and Warehouse Managers to align IT solutions with business needs.

4. Knowledge Management

  • KB Creation: Authors Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Knowledge Base (KB) articles for recurring logistics issues (e.g., FedEx tracking errors, warehouse delivery discrepancies).
  • Continuous Improvement: Identifies preventive actions to reduce recurring incidents and improves system reliability through automation and better documentation.

Technical Expertise

  • Systems: Oracle EBS (Logistics/WMS/OTM), IBM Cognos, Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Functional Areas: WMS, LPN (License Plate Number) management, Packing Slips, Label Printing, Shipping Rates, and Carrier Integrations.
  • Tools: Jira Service Management, Confluence, Oracle Gateway.
