Job Description

Campbell Tickell is looking for an experienced Interim Head of Operations to be a key part of the interim senior management structure, co -ordinating the activity of the housing manager and asset manager for a small housing association.
Role Details:Industry: Social HousingLocation: North West EnglandWorking Pattern: Full time (5 days per week, including 2-3 days on-site)Duration: 3-6 months
Job Description:
  • Lead and coordinate housing and asset management functions, ensuring effective service delivery, compliance, and performance improvement across operational services.
  • Manage key stakeholder and outsourced service provider relationships, acting as the primary client lead and driving effective partnership working.
  • Support governance and regulatory requirements through Board engagement, report writing, strategic advice, and resident involvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with finance, asset and operational teams to strengthen performance reporting, organisational oversight, and community-focused outcomes.

Essential Criteria:
  • Previous experience operating at Head of Service level or equivalent within a housing organisation or Local Authority.
  • A strong professional background in either housing management or asset management.
  • Broad knowledge of social housing operations, regulation and governance.
  • Experience preparing reports and presenting to Boards and senior stakeholders.
Desirable Criteria:
  • Ability to analyse service performance and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Financial awareness and confidence working alongside finance professionals.
