We're seeking an experienced Insights Platform Assurance Lead to lead the operational excellence of a large-scale enterprise data platform. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing technology team responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and continuous improvement of a modern cloud-based analytics environment.
This role is ideal for a technical leader with a strong background in data platforms, cloud technologies, and operational support who enjoys driving continuous improvement while leading high-performing teams.
About the RoleAs the Insights Platform Assurance Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day operation, optimisation, and continuous enhancement of an enterprise analytics platform. You'll work closely with engineering, DevOps, analytics, governance, and business stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable data services that support critical business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the operational support and optimisation of enterprise cloud data platforms.
- Ensure platform health, performance, security, availability, and cost optimisation.
- Manage L2/L3 operational support, incident management, and root cause analysis.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through automation, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed operational best practices into platform design.
- Define, monitor, and report on operational SLAs and platform performance metrics.
- Support release management and deployment activities alongside DevOps teams.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary Data Operations team.
- Build strong relationships across technical and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data services.
You'll bring a blend of technical expertise and leadership experience within enterprise data and analytics environments, including:
- Extensive experience leading data operations, platform support, or data engineering teams.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise cloud data platforms using Azure, AWS, or similar cloud technologies.
- Hands-on knowledge of analytics technologies such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Explorer (ADX), Power BI, Event Hub, or comparable platforms.
- Experience with performance tuning, pipeline monitoring, query optimisation, and operational excellence.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working within large, complex enterprise environments.
- A collaborative leadership style with a passion for coaching and developing teams.
- 12-month contract with potential extension.
