Job Description

Title: Data Engineer Location: Remote NJ/FL Required Duration: Long Term Contract
Work Arrangement: The project is remote, but the interview will be in person at the Virtusa office for candidates located in New Jersey (NJ) or Florida (FL).
Experience Required
  • 8+ years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in the specified technical skills below.
Technical Skills
  • Strong experience in Python scripting and PySpark for data processing.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including big data processing.
  • Experience with the AWS cloud platform and its data services:
    • Amazon S3
    • Amazon Redshift
    • AWS Lambda
    • Amazon EMR
    • Apache Airflow
    • AWS Glue
  • Expertise in BASH/Shell scripting.
Domain & Leadership Requirements
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare insurance domain.
  • Experience leading data engineering teams.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
