Business Analyst - Lending / Underwriting Transformation
Contract: 3 months, likely extension
Rate: 500 - 585 per day insideIR35
Location: Reading - Hybrid - 2-3 days per week
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with lending and/or underwriting experience to support a major financial services transformation programme.
Our client is transitioning to a third-party lending platform and requires a BA to help assess existing underwriting processes, define future ways of working and translate business needs into clear technology requirements.
You will work alongside an internal Business Analyst and closely with the third-party platform provider, helping to bridge the gap between business processes and the capabilities of the new platform.
Responsibilities
Analyse and document current-state lending and underwriting processes. Understand business requirements and translate them into clear, structured
requirements. Develop a strong understanding of the new lending platform and its capabilities. Define future-state processes and working practices. Identify gaps between existing processes and platform functionality. Document required configuration, functionality and potential platform enhancements. Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, internal BAs and the technology
provider.
Support requirements relating to lending metrics and, credit data / bureau
integrations. Contribute to the wider transformation programme, with the role potentially evolving
toward more project-focused support as the programme progresses.
Skills and Experience
Strong Business Analysis experience within lending, credit or financial services.
Hands-on experience of underwriting processes and credit risk.
Experience working with third-party technology or platform providers.
Strong process mapping, requirements gathering and gap analysis skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
The ability to translate complex business processes into clear, actionable
technology requirements.
Experience supporting technology transformation or platform implementation
programmes.
