The Role • Design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs to identify and mitigate potential threats. • Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures, and conduct system audits for compliance. • Serve as a People Leader, overseeing firewall tasks, providing guidance, conducting performance assessments, and driving continual service improvement. • Collaborate with cross-functional IT, Security, and Network teams to integrate firewall solutions seamlessly. • Troubleshoot and resolve network and firewall-related issues, documenting solutions within ticketing systems. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of directly relevant experience (or equivalent military/work experience). • 3+ years of experience with firewalls within a DoD environment. • Demonstrated knowledge in managing and leading a Firewall Team in a comparably sized organization. • Advanced experience in implementing perimeter and internal firewalls (physical and virtual). • Proven ability to manage baseline configurations across numerous firewalls and evaluate rules for maximum security and efficiency. • Must possess an active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. • Must hold a DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification and a Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification prior to starting.
