Job: Cybersecurity Engineer with Must have Splunk SIEM

Location: Richmond, Virginia (In Person Interview & Onsite)

Contract

Our client is hiring an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer with strong expertise in Splunk SIEM.

Required Skills

1. Hands-on experience in cybersecurity, specifically operating, building, and investigating threats within a SIEM or Splunk. (8 Years  Required)

2. Proficiency in writing SPL (Splunk Processing Language). (8 Years Required)

3. Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, EDR, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform). (8 Years Required)

4. Knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK) and security compliance standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, or SOC 2). (8 Years Required)

5. Relevant certifications such as Splunk Core Certified User or Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User are highly preferred.

6. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

7. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to operate calmly under pressure and manage multiple security tickets.
