Mechanical Service Engineer
Quick Overview

Based primarily at our Rushden depot, you'll be responsible for preparing, servicing and maintaining our fleet of cranes and associated equipment, helping ensure everything leaves our yard in first-class condition. Every day is different, with a mix of workshop-based maintenance, fault finding and the occasional site visit.
What you'll be doing
Servicing, maintaining and repairing tower cranes, including self erectors and associated equipment.
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs both in the depot and occasionally on customer sites.
Preparing equipment to the highest standard before it leaves the yard.
Carrying out preventative maintenance to maximise reliability.
Supporting the loading, unloading and storage of crane equipment.
Maintaining service records and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
Working closely with our experienced engineering team to deliver an excellent service to our customers.
What we're looking for:
You'll ideally have experience maintaining heavy mechanical equipment, such as:
Heavy plant

Military vehicles or similar
Most importantly, you'll be someone who:
Enjoys fault finding and solving technical problems.
Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
Works well independently and as part of a team.
Has a strong focus on safety and customer service.
Holds a full UK driving licence.
What we offer:
Full specialist training on tower cranes.
Stable, long-term employment with an established business.
Primarily depot-based role with only occasional travel.
Opportunity to develop specialist engineering skills.
Supportive, experienced team environment.
Competitive salary, overtime opportunities and company benefits.
If you're an engineer who enjoys practical work, solving problems and learning new skills, we'd love to hear from you.
