Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

Job Summary

Seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform with strong software engineering expertise and experience in data platforms, analytics, and cloud technologies. This role focuses on designing, developing, deploying, and supporting production-grade applications and data products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with backend development, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, AWS cloud services, CI/CD, and modern data technologies.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, Go, or Kotlin
• Experience building REST/GraphQL APIs, backend services, and web applications
• Hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Lambda
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and software architecture
• Experience with Kafka, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, or streaming platforms
• Expertise in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
• Experience with automated testing and production support

• Spark, Flink, AWS Glue, dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Iceberg, Athena, Dremio
• Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK
