Senior Business Analyst ( Only Locals to Texas)

Role: Senior Business Analyst

Location: Austin, TX

Duration: Long Term

Responsibilities:

• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
• Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
• Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective.
• Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering.
• Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc.
• Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Meet with stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and surveys to discover business needs.
• Documenting specifications: Translate abstract ideas into structured Business Requirement Documents (BRD and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs).
• Process Mapping: Create use cases to visually map current vs future state.
• Scope Management: Negotiate requirement trade-offs and manage expectations regarding project timelines and costs.
• Participate in testing phase: create test cases, and ensure the final product meets original requirement.
• Stakeholder communication: Serve as the central point of contact between users, technical teams and stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience analyzing legacy systems, identifying process inefficiencies, and translating business needs into actionable technical solutions aligned with program objectives.
• 8+ years of experience collaborating with program and project teams to gather, document, and manage business requirements, as well as supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Preferred Skills

• 8+ years of experience translating abstract business concepts into clear, structured, and well-documented business requirements.
