Data Analyst - DLP

An organization focused on data security is seeking a Data Analyst in New York, NY to support Data Loss Prevention initiatives and help strengthen the protection of sensitive information. This role will monitor alerts, support incident validation, and deliver reporting and analysis that inform DLP operations and policy tuning.

Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Monitor alerts generated by data loss prevention technologies.

  
  


• 
  

  Perform initial triage and escalation in accordance with internal processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Partner with senior data loss prevention leaders to support incident validations.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide feedback on the effectiveness of DLP rules and policy tuning.

  
  


• 
  

  Prepare program metrics, reports, and ad hoc analyses for DLP leadership.

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  Experience supporting data loss prevention or data security operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  
  

Desired Skills:

• 
  

  Knowledge of Proofpoint, Microsoft Purview, or Island.io.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience drafting playbooks or job aids.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience pulling together multiple data sources to create holistic analyses.
