IT Asset Manager

Introduction:

The IT Asset Manager will be responsible for managing the life cycle of IT hardware and software assets, as well as overseeing the inventory at multiple locations. They will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate inventory reporting and develop asset management programs for infrastructure assets.

Responsibilities:

• Manage stock room and IT inventory including hardware (desktops, laptops, monitors, servers, hardware, and peripherals) and software assets at multiple locations
• Prepare inventory reports and perform cycle counts and reconciliations
• Support inventory audits and implement inventory controls
• Pick, pack, and ship inventory to remote users and locations
• Develop life-cycle management programs for infrastructure assets
• Incorporate existing asset management processes and tools into a corporate reporting structure and inventory system
• Coordinate and perform condition assessments of infrastructure assets
• Estimate future costs for replacement, rehabilitation, or maintenance of assets
• Review impacts of asset growth and identify future service expansion needs
• Collaborate with Financial Analyst for Long-Term Financial Planning and Full Cost Accounting
• Research and report on technical specifications and standards for IT infrastructure
• Perform cost/benefit and risk management analysis related to asset management
• Review and update asset management plans on a regular basis
• Undertake other tasks and projects as assigned
