Role Title: Platform Engineer Location: Manchester, 5 days onsite Duration: 6 months contract Rate: £480 - £520 CONTRACTOR MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR BPSS MUST BE PAYE THROUGH UMBRELLA Role Description:

We are seeking a skilled SharePoint SME / 3rd Line Technical Specialist to support and evolve our SharePoint estate across on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring strong expertise in SharePoint upgrades, administration, and development.

Key Responsibilities Platform Operations &amp; Support<br />Manage SharePoint farm servers, web applications, service applications, content databases, and supporting infrastructure.<br />Administer Search Service Applications, Managed Metadata, User Profile Services, Distributed Cache, and related components.<br />Act as 3rd line escalation for complex SharePoint issues<br />Lead SharePoint 2019 to Subscription Edition (SE) upgrades<br />Manage and support SharePoint Online (M365)<br />Ensure platform performance, security, and reliabilityEssential Skills SharePoint Server 2019 &amp; Subscription Edition (SE)<br />SharePoint Online (M365)<br />Deep knowledge of SharePoint farm architecture and operational support.<br />Understanding of search-driven user interfaces and applications.<br />Extensive experience supporting SharePoint Search architecture.<br />Crawl configuration, indexing, query processing, and search optimization.Desirable Skills Microsoft 365 stack:
