Job Description
HR Specialist | Essen, Germany | Hybrid
We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist for a leading discount retailer, renowned for its innovative approach and significant impact on the industry. Join a dynamic team dedicated to excellence in HR operations and employee support.
The Role
• Manage the accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll for various entities, adhering to all legal, collective bargaining, and company regulations.
• Administer working time and vacation accounts within the time tracking system.
• Prepare employment contracts and references, and migrate employee files to a digital archive.
• Advise employees and management on payroll-related, employment, wage tax, and social security matters.
• Act as the primary contact for health insurance providers, social security agencies, and authorities, handling certifications and reporting.
• Prepare and reconcile data for accounting (payroll postings, personnel provisions, etc.).
• Review and implement changes in payroll regulations, such as legislative updates.
• Assist with personnel cost planning and proactively analyze personnel key figures.
What You'll Need
• Completed commercial apprenticeship and several years of experience in payroll or personnel administration.
• Solid knowledge of current employment, wage tax, and social security law.
• Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Proficiency in HR administration and payroll systems, ideally SAP HCM or P&I Loga.
• High commitment, strong service orientation, initiative, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent teamwork, reliability, and resilience.
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in digital HR transformation.
