MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

Bronx, NY

A well-established food manufacturing company in the Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to lead maintenance operations in a fast-paced production environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting daily production goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and production systems throughout the facility.

Diagnose and resolve equipment failures to minimize production downtime.

Support and maintain packaging machinery and related production equipment.

Oversee maintenance activities involving refrigeration and cooling systems.

Troubleshoot production issues within a food manufacturing environment.

Lead, mentor, and manage maintenance mechanics and technicians.

Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while complying with company and regulatory standards.

Utilize computer systems for work orders, maintenance records, and reporting.

Partner with production and operations teams to improve equipment performance and plant efficiency.

Qualifications:

5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food processing or food manufacturing.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, motors, sensors, and troubleshooting techniques.

Extensive mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining industrial production equipment.

Hands-on experience with packaging machinery.

Experience working with industrial refrigeration equipment and systems.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing maintenance personnel.

Strong computer skills, including maintenance management software and Microsoft Office.

Proven problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
