Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with EL1 clearance or SC clearance to join a major long-term project within a Category D Men’s prison, leading a major M&E project. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term position on a significant M&E project, working as part of a professional team delivering high-quality installations in a secure environment. • Duration: circa 2 (subject to project requirements)
• Role: Freelance Project Manager
• Location: Millom
• Start: September 2026 Key Responsibilities
• Manage M&E works including ventilation, heating, containment, emergency lighting and domestic services.
• Manage the installation of containment systems, cable installation and routing.
• Updating and maintaining project drawings.
• Providing regular project progress updates.
• Attending client meetings and representing the project professionally.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to the required standards. Essential Requirements
• Current EL1 or SC Clearance (mandatory).
• In date tickets – SMSTS, CSCS, 1st Aid (manual handling and asbestos awareness preferred but not essential).
• Proven experience in managing large scale M&E projects.
• Ability to update technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong communication skills and confidence attending client meetings.
• Ability to work effectively within a secure environment. What's on Offer
