Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description

A Mechanical Design Engineer job in Cincinnati, Ohio is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and five (5) years of relevant experience.

Job Duties

• Participate in the entire design cycle of mechanical subsystems, including conceptual and detailed design, trade studies, development testing and qualification
• Perform engineering calculations to validate component and system design (free body diagrams, structural analysis, vibration analysis, flow analysis, and heat transfer analysis)
• Participate in the life cycle engineering of turbomachinery components
• Provide engineering support during the manufacturing process and supporting fielded hardware
• Review manufacturing drawings to ensure form, fit and function
• Perform tolerance stacks and analysis in accordance with ASME Y14.5 2009
• Working knowledge of design cycle, conception to production, for components or systems
• Experience in structural FEA using ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar tools
• Proficient in 3D CAD, utilizing Siemens NX We provide a competitive pay and benefits package.

This position is offering a salary rate of $80,000 to $100,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
