Job Details:

 

In this position, you will work closely with application development teams in a consultative engineering capacity to implement OpenTelemetry, Grafana dashboards, and SLI/SLO-driven alerting.

 

Core Responsibilities:

 

  - Create Grafana dashboards and integrate OpenTelemetry into AWS application codebases, or assist development teams with integration.

  - Consult with application teams to explain the benefits of SRE engagements and outline the work required for success.

  - Establish and maintain strong working relationships with partner teams.

  - Maintain legacy Splunk artifacts, including ad-hoc alerts, dashboards, and ITSI services.

  - Collaborate with development teams to create and update production support documentation, policies, and procedures.

  - Identify opportunities for improvement, make recommendations, and assist in implementing changes.

 

Qualifications:

 

  - Minimum of three years of related work experience, with at least one year in Information Technology.

  - Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

  - Strong development background with proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Python, Node, or TypeScript.

  - Experience with various AWS architectures and services, such as ECS/ECS Batch, Lambda, and AppSync.

  - Experience with infrastructure in a CI/CD delivery model.

  - A passion for resiliency principles, observability frameworks (logs, metrics, traces), and efficient alerting pipelines.

  - Familiarity with supporting documentation (FMEAs & runbooks) as well as PTaaS and Chaos/gameday testing execution is a plus
