Java Developer

Role Summary
This senior Java developer role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications within a cloud environment. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that support modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will possess extensive experience in Java development and microservices architecture to meet critical project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams and product managers to conceptualize software solutions.
• Design, develop, and test custom software components across various system modules.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Ensure software designs meet project specifications and compliance standards.
• Develop and document APIs and technical specifications.
• Write efficient, well-structured, and testable code in accordance with programming standards.
• Conduct software testing to verify responsiveness and performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to improve functionality and stability.
• Prepare and release software components, including deployment activities.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by researching new technologies and proposing architectural enhancements.
• Resolve build, integration, and deployment issues in an agile environment.
• Complete assigned tasks within sprint timelines and effectively communicate progress.
• Identify and escalate potential roadblocks/issues during daily scrum meetings.
• Participate actively in agile/scrum activities and team collaboration efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, with 12+ years of professional experience.
• This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required. Active IRS MBI clearance and current GFE.
• Proven experience in Java full-stack development and building microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot, SOA, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience configuring cloud-based microservices environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with stakeholders at various organizational levels.
• Demonstrated success working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex software issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and version control systems.
• Availability to work remotely and coordinate with team members across various locations.

Publishing Pay Range: $55.00 - $60.00 hourly

This position offers a hybrid schedule with a remote work environment.
