The Role • Design, implement, and manage complex firewall solutions using technologies such as Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto. • Monitor firewall performance and security logs to proactively identify and mitigate potential threats. • Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures to maintain a robust security posture. • Serve as a People Leader, guiding and mentoring a team responsible for firewall operations and projects. • Provide technical expertise and strategic direction for continual service improvement in firewall operations. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firewall solutions and troubleshoot network issues. What You'll Need • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of directly relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum of 3 years of firewall experience within a DoD environment. • Demonstrated knowledge in managing and leading a firewall team within a similar-sized organization. • Advanced experience with implementing perimeter and internal firewalls, both physical and virtual. • Proven ability to evaluate firewall rules for maximum security and minimum redundancy. • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
