Senior Software Developer – Java, Microservices & Angular

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer with strong expertise in Java, Microservices, and Angular to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable enterprise applications and distributed systems.

This role is suited for a mid-to-senior level engineer who is comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle, solving complex technical problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to modern cloud-native application architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices following modern architectural and design principles.
• Build responsive, maintainable, and reusable front-end applications using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Design and implement distributed systems using appropriate microservices patterns, including service discovery, API gateways, centralized configuration, fault tolerance, and asynchronous communication.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.
• Develop unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot complex production and performance issues across application and service layers.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on design, implementation, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and help identify opportunities for improving system scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices to support automated build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to estimation, planning, and delivery.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices at the senior level.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience for Senior-level candidates; candidates with approximately 3–5 years may be considered for a mid-level position.
• Strong hands-on programming experience with Java 8+, preferably Java 11/17/21.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring ecosystem.
• Proven experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and service-to-service communication.
• Professional experience with Angular and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean-code practices.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Working knowledge of SQL and database design concepts.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests using technologies such as JUnit, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
• Experience with Git and modern source-control practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to solve algorithmic and data-structure problems similar to those assessed through Codility-style technical assessments.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging/event-streaming technologies.
• Experience with API Gateway technologies and service discovery.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and application security.
• Experience with Redis or other distributed caching technologies.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, or distributed tracing.
• Experience designing high-volume, highly available enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
