A leading independent investment bank is looking for an Investment Banking Vice President to join its highly regarded Media practice in NYC. This is an opportunity to join a premier advisory platform with a strong reputation for advising founder-led, sponsor-backed, and public companies on complex strategic transactions.
The team is experiencing significant momentum and is looking for a Vice President who wants meaningful transaction responsibility, direct interaction with senior bankers and clients, and the opportunity to play a key role in originating and executing high-profile M&A assignments. This position offers a unique combination of hands-on leadership, entrepreneurial exposure, and clear path for long-term career progression within a growing space.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions from initial client engagement through closing.
- Manage transaction processes, due diligence workstreams, financial analyses, valuation materials, and client deliverables.
- Oversee and mentor Associates and Analysts while maintaining high-quality execution standards.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, prospective clients, sponsors, and industry participants.
- Prepare and review financial models, valuation analyses, pitch materials, confidential information memoranda, and board presentations.
- Partner closely with senior bankers on business development initiatives and new client opportunities.
- Serve as a key point of contact throughout transaction processes for clients, counterparties, and advisors.
Qualifications
- 5-9 years of Investment Banking experience.
- Prior Vice President experience or top-performing Senior Associate ready for promotion.
- Significant M&A transaction execution experience within Investment Banking.
- Media, Communications, Digital Media, Marketing Services, Information Services, Technology-Enabled Services, or broader TMT sector experience strongly preferred.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple live transactions simultaneously.
- Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
- Proven leadership experience mentoring and developing junior team members.
