Position: Business Systems Analyst (BSA)
Location: Austin TX, NY, or Fort Mill SC
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with a strong background in Wealth Management or the Banking & Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams by gathering business requirements, analyzing business processes, and translating them into functional and technical specifications.
The candidate should have experience working on wealth management platforms, investment products, client onboarding, portfolio management, advisory services, regulatory reporting, and financial applications. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery experience are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Conduct requirement workshops, interviews, and business process mapping sessions.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process flows, and use cases.
Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with business users, Product Owners, Architects, Development, QA, and Project Managers.
  • Facilitate requirement walkthroughs and solution discussions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Wealth Management Domain
Support initiatives related to:
  • Portfolio Management
  • Investment Advisory
  • Wealth Planning
  • Client Onboarding (KYC/AML)
  • Financial Planning
  • Trading & Investment Platforms
  • Mutual Funds
  • Equities & Fixed Income
  • Retirement Planning
  • Asset Allocation
  • Alternative Investments
Financial Systems
  • Work with enterprise financial applications and wealth management platforms.
  • Support system integration initiatives across internal and third-party applications.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production support.
  • Validate business rules and functional requirements.
Agile Delivery
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Create and prioritize user stories in Jira.
  • Work closely with Product Owners to maintain the product backlog.
  • Support release planning and sprint execution.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst.
  • Strong experience in Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Private Banking, or Financial Services.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting.

  • Knowledge of FIX Protocol and financial market data.
  • Experience with regulatory initiatives including SEC, FINRA, MiFID II, AML, and KYC.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or Agile certifications are a plus.
