Job Description

Seeking an experienced Java Backend Engineer with enterprise architecture, microservices, REST API, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform), and AI integration expertise. The candidate will develop secure backend systems, integrate AI services with enterprise applications, and ensure data accuracy, API security, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise backend applications using Java and microservices.

• Design and implement REST APIs and enterprise integrations.

• Integrate AI services with enterprise systems and validate data exchanged with systems of record.

• Design, implement, or validate Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, clients, tools, and integrations.

• Build and support cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform.

• Implement data-integrity controls, write-back validation, and API security.

• Lead code reviews, establish technical standards, and coordinate with technical teams and vendors.

• Ensure compliance with applicable security and regulatory requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

• Java, Backend Development & Microservices: 8 years, including REST API design and implementation.

• Technical Leadership / Architecture: 3 years, including code reviews and technical standards.

• AI Service Integration: 2 years, including data validation between AI services and systems of record.

• Model Context Protocol (MCP): 1 year of hands-on implementation or validation experience.

• Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform): 2 years, including GKE, Pub/Sub, IAM, VPC Service Controls, or secure egress.

• Regulatory Compliance: 2 years in IRS Publication 1075, CJIS, HIPAA, or comparable regulated environments.

• Data Integrity / API Security: 2 years involving transactional data validation, write-back controls, or API security.
